Week 5 Challenge Results
The winner this week was Linda with a 2.4% loss! Great job Linda, and welcome to ONEDERLAND!
As a group we lost, 30.9lbs this week! Not too shabby, I just find it strange its almost exactly half the amount we lost last week. I am finding a pattern here, we lose a ton one week, then about half the amount the next...why do you think this is?

Hey Pretty Ladies!
Chicago: So I haven't posted much about this trip, because honestly I have been so upset about it. I can't tell you have many times I have broken down to tears thinking about it. The problem is, my best friend is getting married on the 25th of September and I am in her wedding. If it wasn't for that I hope you all know I would be there in a heartbeat. I know there will be plenty of other get togethers, but I can't help but have a pity party and stomp my feet. I want to be there so badly. Ok, enough!
Weight: Last Thursday (on my birthday) I finally hit 188, 60lbs down. Well that was short lived! I think it lasted about a half hour before I decided to eat anything and everything I wanted. All of this week I was up to 193, and not doing much to help it. Finally yesterday the mystery restriction reappeared, and this morning I was back to 189! Praise the lord!
Challenge: Tomorrow Week 4 results are due! I really hope we hit our goal of 30lbs down for the week! I have high expectations, and have a feeling we blew this goal through the roof!
Shopping: Rick's cousin is getting married next month and I was in need of an outfit for the rehearsal dinner. I've noticed that as I continue to lose weight I have a hard time reusing my outfits and constantly want to buy new ones for every reason possible. Well today I had fantastic luck at Ann Taylor Loft. I went in and decided to try on this cute little dress, it was a no go! I asked the sales woman to help me zip it, and she couldn't even get it close (it was a 14) She told me not to worry and she could find plenty of other things that would work. She asked me if I wanted her to be my personal shopper....I said sure why not? Minutes later she comes back with 3 different complete outfits, and by complete I mean bottoms, tops, AND accessories! There were 2 skirt ensembles, and 1 with jeans. She grabbed a 14 and a 12 in the skirts, I obviously went for the 14 first, seeing how the 14 dress didn't just fit. I came out in it, and she said no way its too big on you! AHHHHH! So I tried the 12 on, and it fit! YIPPPEEE! I ended up buying 1 skirt, 1 pair of jeans, 1 cotton shirt, 2 tank tops, 2 cardigans and a necklace! I would say an overall SUCCESS! Now the problem is did I have money for all of this? Of course not...but that's a story for another day.

Trainer update and new recipe!
Exercise wise she had me do an TON of stair runs today...I went up and down 2 sets of stairs 3 times, 5 different times! OUCH! My HRM said I burned 357 calories, yippppe!
She also asked how I've been doing with breakfast, and I was honest and told her I've been eating protein bars, which she doesn't like. She thinks there are too many artificial ingredients in them. She said she found a recipe online to make your own natural protein bars at home and shared it with me. It doesn't look to bad! You can find the recipe and a lot other healthy, high protein ones @ Stella's Kitchen. Here is the recipe she showed me:
Protein Nutrition Bar Recipe (click to see recipe)
Makes 10 bars
A nice meal replacement bar at a mere fraction of the cost of packaged protein bars and none of their glycerin, preservatives, or sugar, these low-fat bars are rich in fiber and taste great with a light spread of natural peanut butter across the top. Served with a protein drink, they make a well-balanced meal.
Ingredients:
3 1/2 cups quick oats
1 1/2 cups powdered non-fat milk
1 cup sugar-free (diabetic) pancake syrup (Cozy Cottage, Cary's or Howard's brand)
2 egg whites, beaten
1/4 cup orange juice
1 tsp Vanilla
1/4 c. natural applesauce*
4 scoops chocolate or vanilla protein powder
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325°. Mix all dry ingredients in bowl and blend well. In separate bowl, combine eggwhites, orange juice, applesauce, & the sugar-free syrup and blend well. Stir liquids into dry ingredients until blended. The consistency will be thick and similar to cookie dough. Spread batter on baking sheet coated with non-stick spray. Use a 9x12 baking dish if you want a thicker bar. Bake until edges are crisp and browned. Cut into 10 bars and store in airtight container or freeze.
*If you find you want a moister bar, add a little more applesauce to the recipe for softness.
**The brand of protein used in this recipe contained 200 calories, 4 g carb, 44 g protein, 2 g fat, and 2 g fiber. Use your low-carb whey of choice.

I will probably attempt to make these this weekend, I like the idea of spreading some peanut butter on top, mmmm mmmm I love me some peanut butter! Hope everyone has a fantastic Tuesday! xxoo

Hi Everyone!
I can only imagine how anxious everyone has been to see the first week's results from our challenge. I had a hard time figuring out some graphing issues, but I think this should work! Let me know if anyone thinks it needs any tweaks! I am fully open to opinions and advice!!
Please Note: I am missing 3 people's weights, I'm sure this is due to everyone being so busy with Easter and all, but the %'s might change a little once I receive those weights.
